South Beach is a district in Miami Beach from South Pointe Park to around 23rd Street. Miami Beach is served by two airports: Miami International Airport which is 10 miles west of Miami Beach and other airport is Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport which is 30 miles from Miami Beach.
There are many things to see in South Beach. Run by Florida International University, Wolfsonian-FIU Museum is one of Miami’s must-see museums. Miami Beach Cultural Campus is known as the museum district which includes the Miami City ballet building, the Bass Museum, Miami Beach Regional Library and Collins Park.
Casa Casuarinas aka Versace House is the most photographed landmark and was sold to Peter Loftin and it is now members only hotel. Art Deco District is world’s largest collection of modern Art Deco architecture.
There are many alfresco style and exotic restaurants in the South Beach. There are also many hotels, for value conscious and luxury seeking travelers, throughout the South Beach. |
